8th Generation Vineyard

WELCOME

to 235 years of winemaking history

We chose the Okanagan Valley for it’s distinct climate which gives us the ability to produce heavy fruit driven wines with a backbone of refreshing acidity.

Kind of what we we’re used from making wine in Germany, but with much more depth.

October is a perfect month to visit, stop by and catch some live action on the crushpad too.

A bit of our Background...

The story of the Schales Family is one that has been etched out of tradition and flavored with passion. It is the story of a love affair that began in 1783 when Christian Schales planted his first grapes in the small Rheinhessen Village of Dalsheim. And today, 8 generations later, the story continues in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Armed with generations of winemaking and grape growing experience behind them and his grandfather’s winepress, Bernd and Stefanie Schales left Germany in search of a new adventure and a new chapter for their next generation.
