WINEMAKING:·
100% single varietal Merlot.100% single vineyard.
After harvest the grapes are destemmed, and ferment on the skins in a stainless steel tank. After 10 days the batch gets pressed and only the juice continues with the fermentation. That way, less tannins end up in the wine and the result is a very fruit forward red-wine expression. The wine gets finished only in stainless steel and never touches any oak barrel. Carefully filtered to preserve a hint of C02 from fermentation in the wine. Bottled in early February 2023. Closed with a tin lined screwcap, which seals the wine fully and preserves the freshness the longest. Vegan.
SUB GI: Naramata Bench (Okanagan Valley)
A refreshing unoaked red! The palate bursts with flavours of ripe blackberry and pomegranate with great tannin structure from skin contact before pressing the grapes. This light style of red pairs perfectly with BBQ, spicy dishes and any type of fresh salad.
Always served chilled.
